This week was busy finalizing the corn crop plan for North Pivot and prepping equipment. The draft plan is complete and is attached to this newsletter for review by the project team. Prompt feedback from the project team is requested due to weather conditions allowing for an early plant date. 

Dr. McLemore’s Ag Machinery Systems class performed a pre-season check on ABAC’s Harvest International planter to get it ready to go. The planter is equipped with Ag Leader electric drive meters, hydraulic downforce, and liquid in-furrow fertilizer.

Next week will be busy preparing the field for planting by terminating the cover crop and applying pre-plant fertilizer. We are currently looking at March 20th as a tentative date for planting.
